Undefeated Soccer Camp is a grassroots summer camp that is geared to meet the needs of our community.

Mission Statement

We aim to achieve:

Excellent childcare throughout the summer months;
Soccer instruction to children in a summer camp setting while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment;
An encouraging atmosphere that allows for active participation, development team building skills and problem solving; and
A unique opportunity for children to work together towards a common goal while having fun in the sun!

Camp Founders

Undefeated Soccer Camp was developed and founded by Sunny Minhas and Rory Hayes. Sunny and Rory were born and raised in Calgary, and having spent their youth in Calgary, they understand the needs of the City’s communities. Between the two of them, Sunny and Rory have had well over a decade of experience working and assisting youth ages 5-18. They have worked at summer camps over the years as counselors, supervisors and regional coordinators. Currently, Sunny and Rory are high school teachers, and in addition to teaching, they both coach sports throughout the school year. Ever since they were teenagers, Sunny and Rory have dreamt of opening a summer camp that offers excellent child care and provides children with quality soccer skills instruction. The goal of Undefeated Soccer Camp is for children to learn valuable life skills like teamwork, develop soccer skills, to create life-long memories with their peers and counsellors and most importantly: to have fun!

Sunny Minhas

Sunny Minhas has either coached or played soccer for the majority of his life including playing and winning two city championships with Rory at Crescent Heights High School. While he was enrolled at the University of Calgary, Sunny began working with children at a local soccer camp which confirmed his love for both coaching and working with youth. Sunny graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Political Science and a Bachelors of Education. At present, Sunny is a Social Studies teacher at Lester B. Pearson High School where he is heavily involved with student extracurricular activities, including:

Coached both Junior Boys + Senior Boys Soccer teams
Current Assistant Coach for the Women's St Marys' University Basketball team
Current Head Coach of the Senior Boys Basketball team
Founded a scholarship for athletes in need of financial assistance (Manmeet Singh Bhullar Memorial Scholarship)

In addition to his activities at Lester B. Pearson, Sunny is also an Assistant Coach of St Mary's University Women's Basketball team.

Rory Hayes

Rory Hayes has competed at high levels of soccer for over 15 years. He has been a City and Provincial Champion both as a Tier I Youth Player and as a Men's Premier Division Player. His playing experience includes Post Secondary at Mount Royal University and The University of Lethbridge. He has also competed in the Calgary Premier League and Alberta Major League. Rory was given the opportunity to gain more experience as a soccer player training and competing in Italy, Norway and the United States. Rory was 17 when he had his first experience working with youth. He was a camp counsellor where the children were either at risk, refugees or newly immigrated. He quickly realized that working with youth was a demanding but incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience. During his time in university, Rory continued to have a passion working with youth. He worked at summer camps as a camp counsellor and a supervisor where he increased his knowledge and experience. Rory graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education where he majored in Physical Education. During the beginning of his teaching career, Rory took on the role of being a head coach for a Blizzards U18 boys tier 1 team. Rory is currently a Physical Education & Sports Performance teacher at William Aberhart High School where he is involved in extra curricular activities as a coach figure, which includes:
